Kolkata's pool parties had a reputation problem — low-profile, and worse. So we went the other way: Hyatt Regency partnered with us to stage a genuinely premium poolside social. European sunset-pool culture — Totem Tribe live percussion, Afro house DJs, fire artists, golden-hour light design — staged around the water on a full grounds takeover.

The story
Produced by DEX as lead organiser with two partners — reclaiming the format for the city and proving a premium pool-social can work in Kolkata.
The crowd, curated
80 handpicked micro-influencers and 20 marquee names, plus media coverage — chosen deliberately so the room stayed premium. No random promoter lists, ever.
The build
A 12 × 12 ft DJ stage raised 8 ft beside the pool, plus a full grounds build — gazebos, a bazaar, branded entry and a gaming zone — engineered, fabricated and installed by DEX's own crew. (An over-pool performance stage is designed and ready for a coming edition.)

Ballroom afterparty · 10 PM — 4 AM

When the sun sets on European Summers, the night moves indoors — a ballroom transformed into a club until 4 AM. And the stage belongs to the city: twelve of Kolkata's best homegrown DJs — girls and boys who rarely get this exposure — playing to a crowd that came specifically to watch them kill it.

The stage
A 14 × 20 ft stage with proper crowd barriers and a full backstage — fronting a GA floor and a dedicated table zone.
The format
A full venue turnover in real time — poolside strike and ballroom show-up running in parallel, so the crowd walks from sunset into strobe without a gap. 4 PM to 4 AM, two venues, one production team.
The platform
Kolkata's homegrown DJ talent, given a headline stage for the first time — and an audience that showed up for them. This is the IP we build on next.

A fitness rave staged inside the water — lasers over the pool, a live dhol-and-sax act, performers moving through the crowd, instructors leading from the stage. Sound, light and safety engineered for a crowd that's literally in the water — ticketed and sold through our own digital funnels.
